Which companies sponsor visas for service advisors in Florida?
AutoNation, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale and one of the largest dealership groups in the country, is among the most visible Florida employers in this space. Other multi-location groups such as Southeast Toyota Distributors and regional dealer networks in the Orlando and Miami metro areas have historically hired service advisors at scale. Sponsorship availability varies by location, open headcount, and the individual employer's HR capacity to manage the process.
Which visa types are most common for service advisor roles in Florida?
Service advisor roles can qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field, though USCIS scrutinizes whether the role meets the specialty occupation standard. Some candidates with backgrounds in automotive technology management or business may qualify. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories. Employers determine which visa pathway fits based on the specific job duties and the candidate's credentials.
Which cities in Florida have the most service advisor sponsorship jobs?
Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville account for the largest share of service advisor openings in Florida, driven by high vehicle ownership rates, dense dealership networks, and strong tourism-related fleet activity. Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach also see consistent demand given the concentration of luxury and import-brand dealerships in South Florida. Coastal markets with marine service centers, including the Naples and Fort Myers areas, add further opportunities.
How to find service advisor visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa-sponsored roles and lets you filter service advisor jobs by state, so you can focus directly on Florida openings from employers willing to sponsor. Because sponsorship-willing employers are a subset of the overall market, a targeted search on Migrate Mate saves time compared to sorting through general job listings. Setting up alerts for new Florida service advisor postings helps you respond early, which matters when sponsored roles fill quickly.
What should international candidates know about service advisor roles in Florida specifically?
Florida's high volume of luxury, import, and marine-brand dealerships means employers sometimes seek candidates with manufacturer-specific certifications, which can strengthen a sponsorship case by demonstrating specialized knowledge. The state has no income tax, which affects how compensation packages are structured. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules mean employers must pay at least the DOL-determined wage for the role and location, and South Florida metros typically carry higher prevailing wages than rural counties.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service advisor jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
