Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for software product managers?
Florida-based tech and enterprise software companies with histories of H-1B sponsorship for product roles include Chewy, Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), Citrix, and Magic Leap. Large financial institutions and healthcare technology firms headquartered in the state also regularly sponsor international hires for software product manager positions. Sponsorship patterns vary by company size, hiring cycle, and role seniority.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for software product managers in Florida, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Some experienced candidates pursue the O-1A for individuals with demonstrated extraordinary ability. Candidates already on OPT or STEM OPT can work while an employer files an H-1B petition on their behalf.
Which cities in Florida have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for software product manager sponsorship activity, driven by its growing tech and fintech ecosystem. Tampa is a significant hub, home to UKG and a concentration of financial technology companies. Orlando has notable activity tied to simulation, defense technology, and enterprise software firms. Smaller but emerging clusters exist in Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters software product manager roles in Florida by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sorting through listings that don't apply to your situation. The platform surfaces employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for product management roles across Miami, Tampa, and Orlando, making it a focused starting point for your search.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for software product managers pursuing visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation benchmarks and prevailing wage comparisons under the Labor Condition Application process. The state's growing university pipeline from institutions like the University of Florida and Florida International University produces product-adjacent talent, which means international candidates often compete with a strong local graduate pool. Product roles tied to defense or government contractors may also involve clearance requirements that can complicate sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
