Which companies sponsor visas for software product managers in Texas?
Several large employers in Texas have consistent track records of sponsoring visas for software product managers. Dell Technologies and NXP Semiconductors in Austin, AT&T and Texas Instruments in Dallas, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Houston are among the most active. Beyond established tech firms, Austin's fast-growing SaaS and fintech companies also sponsor for product roles, particularly at the senior and staff level.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for software product managers in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Candidates already holding L-1B or O-1 visa status also appear in Texas product hiring. Australian citizens have access to the E-3 visa, which follows a similar process to the H-1B visa but without the annual lottery.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship, so you can browse software product manager roles in Texas without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform covers openings across Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, including both enterprise employers and growth-stage companies. Filtering by state and role on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to manually researching each employer's sponsorship history.
Which cities in Texas have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Austin concentrates the highest volume of software product manager sponsorship opportunities in Texas, largely due to its dense tech sector spanning companies like Apple, Google, Meta, and numerous funded startups. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with strong demand from enterprise software, financial services, and telecom employers. Houston has a smaller but growing tech presence, particularly in energy tech and healthcare IT, where product management roles are expanding.
Are there any Texas-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for software product managers?
Texas has no state income tax, which makes compensation packages competitive relative to other tech hubs and can factor into how employers structure offers for sponsored hires. The University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M produce a significant pipeline of international graduates who often seek H-1B sponsorship after OPT, making Austin employers particularly familiar with the sponsorship process. The concentration of H-1B-dependent employers in the Dallas tech corridor also means product managers there frequently encounter structured sponsorship workflows.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
