Which companies sponsor visas for software product managers in North Carolina?
Red Hat, Lenovo, SAS Institute, and Epic Games are among the North Carolina employers with a history of H-1B filings for product-related roles. Larger financial technology firms in Charlotte, including those in banking and payments infrastructure, also sponsor international workers. Research Triangle Park-based companies across software, healthcare IT, and cloud services represent the most active sponsoring employers in the state.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for software product manager positions in North Carolina, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates already holding L-1 status through an intracompany transfer or O-1 status for individuals with extraordinary ability may also find opportunities, depending on their background and employer situation.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find software product manager roles in North Carolina without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can search by state and role to surface employers actively hiring for sponsored positions in Research Triangle Park, Charlotte, and other North Carolina tech hubs.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Raleigh and Durham, anchored by Research Triangle Park, account for the largest concentration of software product manager sponsorship activity in North Carolina. The RTP area hosts major technology, healthcare IT, and enterprise software employers who regularly hire internationally. Charlotte is the second major hub, driven by fintech and financial services firms expanding their product teams, with smaller pockets of activity in cities like Cary and Morrisville.
Are there any North Carolina-specific considerations for software product managers seeking visa sponsorship?
North Carolina's Research Triangle benefits from a strong university pipeline through NC State, Duke, and UNC Chapel Hill, which means employers in the area are generally experienced with international hiring processes. Software product manager roles in the state tend to sit within enterprise software, healthcare technology, and cloud infrastructure sectors. Candidates should confirm that their specific role and degree combination satisfies the H-1B specialty occupation standard before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
