Which companies sponsor visas for software product managers in Tennessee?
HCA Healthcare, Asurion, Bridgestone Americas, and Oracle's Nashville operations are among the Tennessee employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for product and technology roles. Healthcare IT firms concentrated in the Nashville corridor, including Change Healthcare and Envision Healthcare, have also sponsored software product managers in past fiscal years. Sponsorship frequency varies by team and hiring cycle, so verifying current openings directly is important.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for software product managers in Tennessee, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems. Candidates already holding L-1B or O-1 status may also find opportunities, and some employers will consider TN visa classification for Canadian and Mexican nationals where the role maps to an eligible USMCA occupation category.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashville concentrates the majority of software product manager sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by its healthcare IT industry and a growing general tech sector. Memphis has a smaller but present base of logistics and financial technology employers that occasionally sponsor product roles. Knoxville, home to the University of Tennessee and affiliated research institutions, has a developing tech community that produces some sponsorship opportunities, though at lower volume than Nashville.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, making it straightforward to identify Tennessee employers actively open to sponsoring software product managers. Rather than manually reviewing every posting, you can browse roles confirmed or indicated for sponsorship, filtered to Tennessee. This is particularly useful for narrowing down Nashville's healthcare IT and technology employers, where product management openings are most concentrated for international candidates.
Are there state-specific considerations for software product managers seeking sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects total compensation conversations but does not change federal visa or prevailing wage requirements. Employers filing H-1B petitions for software product managers must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage standards for the Nashville or Memphis metropolitan areas, which differ from national figures. Tennessee's strong healthcare IT concentration also means product manager roles here often require domain familiarity with clinical or insurance workflows, which can shape how employers define the specialty occupation for visa purposes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
