Which companies sponsor visas for software product managers in Massachusetts?
Boston-area tech companies with consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories for product manager roles include HubSpot, Wayfair, Toast, Rapid7, and Klaviyo. Larger employers like Fidelity Investments, Liberty Mutual, and athenahealth also sponsor PMs through their enterprise software divisions. Cambridge-based biotech and health tech firms, including those clustered around Kendall Square, have also filed LCAs for product management positions.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for software product managers in Massachusetts. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1B specialized knowledge visas or O-1 visa extraordinary ability visas may also find pathways through Massachusetts employers, particularly at multinational technology firms with offices in the state.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest share of sponsored software product manager roles in Massachusetts, particularly in the Seaport District, Back Bay, and Kendall Square. The Route 128 technology corridor, covering towns like Waltham, Burlington, and Woburn, is another active hiring zone with a long-established enterprise software and defense tech presence. Worcester has a smaller but growing tech employment base.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Massachusetts employers actively hiring software product managers and willing to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general job postings, you can browse roles already screened for sponsorship intent. Filtering by Massachusetts and the product management category on Migrate Mate surfaces the most relevant opportunities without wading through positions that exclude international candidates.
Are there any state-specific considerations for software product managers seeking sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts has a strong pipeline of international product management talent from institutions like MIT, Harvard, Northeastern, and Boston University, which means employers in the state are generally familiar with sponsorship processes. The state's concentration in biotech software, fintech, and enterprise SaaS means product manager roles often require domain-specific knowledge alongside technical fluency, which can strengthen an H-1B specialty occupation argument. Prevailing wage levels in the Boston metro are among the highest in the country for this role category.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
