Which companies sponsor visas for software product managers in Washington?
Microsoft and Amazon are the most active sponsors for software product manager roles in Washington, with large PM organizations and established immigration programs. Other consistent sponsors include Google's Kirkland and Seattle offices, Salesforce, Meta, and Expedia. Mid-size Seattle-area tech companies such as Zillow and Tableau have also sponsored PM roles, though sponsorship frequency varies by team and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Washington?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for software product managers in Washington. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Applicants already holding L-1 visa status through an intracompany transfer, or O-1 visa status based on extraordinary ability, also appear regularly among PM hires at large Washington employers.
Which cities in Washington have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Redmond account for the large majority of software product manager sponsorship jobs in Washington. Redmond is home to Microsoft's headquarters, while Seattle hosts Amazon's main campus, Google's regional office, and a dense cluster of mid-size tech companies in the South Lake Union and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. Bellevue and Kirkland on the Eastside also generate meaningful PM hiring volume, particularly from Google and Amazon subsidiary teams.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship jobs, including software product manager roles in Washington. You can filter by state and role to surface employers with active PM openings and documented sponsorship history. This saves time compared to manually screening job postings that don't disclose sponsorship status, which is common in the Washington tech market.
Are there state-specific considerations for software product managers pursuing sponsorship in Washington?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage calculations interact with total compensation for H-1B purposes. The Department of Labor sets prevailing wages by metropolitan area, and the Seattle-Bellevue-Everett region uses its own wage tables, which reflect the area's competitive PM market. Washington's university pipeline, particularly from the University of Washington's information school and engineering programs, also creates a strong local talent pool that candidates are competing against.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
