While this role does not include direct people management, it carries strong expectations to lead through influence—driving outcomes through expertise, credibility, and partnership rather than formal authority.

- Personally lead rapid innovation cycles, including ideation, prototyping, and proof-of-concept (POC) development using technology available within Micron.
Technology Alignment & Enterprise Partnership
- Align and influence enterprise AI architecture and technology decisions, partnering with IT, enterprise architecture, and security to ensure Global Procurement requirements are embedded and solutions are scalable, governed, and enterprise-ready.
- Guide AI investment and sourcing strategy related to worldwide procurement activities, maintaining market awareness of procurement AI vendors and evaluating build vs. buy vs. partner options to deliver objective, capability-aligned recommendations.
Enterprise Representation & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Represent and advise Global Procurement on enterprise AI strategy, partnering cross-functionally (Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Security) and serving as a trusted advisor to GP leadership on AI trends, risks, opportunities, and strategic implications.
- Enable and mentor GP teams on practical, responsible AI adoption, mentoring leaders and individual contributors on when and how to apply (including agentic AI), and safely develop, build, and iterate AI solutions using approved enterprise platforms.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, or an equivalent area.
- 8–12+ years of experience spanning AI strategy, digital transformation, advanced analytics, intelligent automation, or related domains in sophisticated enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience defining strategy and converting it into executable roadmaps with tangible business outcomes.
- Strong hands-on experience developing agentic AI or automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, UiPath, or Moveworks.
- Proven track record delivering rapid POCs that successfully transition into scaled, production solutions.
- Experience influencing senior collaborators and driving outcomes without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and enable business users and leaders on effective and responsible use of AI. This includes hands-on mentorship in crafting and advancing autonomous AI solutions. Capable of translating complex AI concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Additional certifications or advanced education in AI, machine learning, automation, or digital transformation strongly preferred.
- Strategic problem solver with a strong bias toward execution and learning through experimentation.
- High ownership, curiosity, and continuous-learning approach.

Which companies in Idaho sponsor visas for software product managers?
Boise-based employers are the primary source of software product manager sponsorship in Idaho. Clearwater Analytics, which builds investment management software, and Micron Technology, a major semiconductor company with a large Boise presence, have both filed H-1B petitions for technical and product roles. Smaller SaaS companies in the Boise metro also sponsor, though less frequently. Sponsorship activity is concentrated in fintech, enterprise software, and hardware-adjacent product roles.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Idaho?
The H-1B is the most common visa for software product managers in Idaho, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field like computer science, engineering, or business. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated exceptional achievement. Australians may qualify for the E-3, which has no lottery and is significantly easier to obtain than the H-1B.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Migrate Mate filters software product manager job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search Idaho roles without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. Given that Idaho's tech hiring is concentrated in the Boise metro, filtering by that city on Migrate Mate surfaces the most relevant opportunities. Clearwater Analytics and Micron are worth monitoring directly as well, since both have histories of sponsoring product and technical roles.
Which cities in Idaho have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Boise is by far Idaho's primary market for software product manager roles with visa sponsorship. The city has developed a recognizable tech cluster around fintech, healthtech, and enterprise SaaS over the past decade. Meridian and Nampa, both part of the greater Treasure Valley metro, occasionally have relevant openings tied to companies headquartered in or expanding from Boise. Outside the Treasure Valley, sponsorship opportunities for this role are rare.
Are there state-specific factors that affect software product manager sponsorship in Idaho?
Idaho does not have state-level visa programs, so federal rules govern all sponsorship. One practical consideration is that Idaho's tech market is smaller than hubs like Seattle or Austin, meaning fewer employers have established H-1B filing processes. Boise State University and the University of Idaho produce local tech talent, which can mean employers have less urgency to sponsor international candidates. Candidates with specialized experience in fintech, semiconductor products, or enterprise SaaS tend to find stronger traction.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
