About the Role:
As an AI-forward Full Stack Product Manager at Crunchbase, you will accelerate how we apply AI, automation, and connected systems across the company. This role sits within the Product organization and focuses on building and evolving internal AI-powered applications that increase operational velocity, reduce manual work, and improve how teams execute. You will identify friction across workflows, redesign brittle processes, and ship practical solutions that meaningfully improve how work gets done. This is not a strategy-only role. You will operate as a builder. You will rapidly design, prototype, and launch internal AI-driven tools. You will not “own” every system, but you will modernize, connect, and evolve them so they work better together and materially reduce operational drag. This role is about applied AI, system-level thinking, and execution at speed.
- Identify and Eliminate Operational Friction:
- Identify manual, repetitive, or brittle workflows across the organization
- Redesign processes using AI, automation, and system-level improvements
- Reduce low-leverage work to create space for higher-value thinking
- Improve interoperability, reliability, and observability across internal systems
- Build and Ship Internal AI Applications:
- Rapidly design, prototype, and launch AI-driven internal applications
- Turn rough ideas into working solutions that can be tested and validated quickly
- Use lightweight, iterative development approaches to accelerate time-to-value
-
Continuously refine and improve tools based on real-world usage and feedback
-
Drive Practical AI Adoption:
- Push the organization toward applied, usable AI — not experimentation for its own sake
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies for pragmatic internal use cases
- Help teams rethink how work gets done in an AI-enabled operating model
-
Ensure AI implementations drive measurable efficiency, speed, or quality improvements
-
Partner Across the Business:
- Work directly with business leaders to understand operational pain points
- Translate ambiguous needs into structured product and technical solutions
- Operate comfortably across Product, Engineering, and business functions
- Align solutions with company-wide goals and measurable outcomes
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or a related technical builder role
- Experience building or implementing AI-powered applications, automation workflows, or internal systems
- Demonstrated experience operating at the intersection of business and engineering
- Track record of rapidly prototyping and launching practical solutions that improve operational efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong technical foundation in AI, internal systems, automation, and modern tooling
- Ability to design, prototype, and ship working AI-driven solutions independently
- Systems thinker who understands both technical architecture and human workflow design
- Comfortable navigating and improving existing tools without rigid definitions or guardrails
- Builder mindset — prototypes quickly, iterates frequently, and ships practical solutions
- Operates effectively in ambiguity and proactively identifies inefficiencies others overlook
- Action-oriented with a strong bias toward execution and measurable outcomes
- Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured product and technical solutions
- Comfortable working across Product, Engineering, and business functions
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated curiosity and fluency in emerging AI tools and capabilities

Which companies sponsor visas for software product managers in Virginia?
Several large employers in Virginia have a track record of sponsoring work visas for software product managers. These include Capital One, Amazon Web Services, Booz Allen Hamilton, Leidos, Accenture Federal Services, and Salesforce. Northern Virginia's dense concentration of government contractors and enterprise technology firms means sponsorship-active employers are more common here than in many other states.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Virginia?
The H-1B is the most common visa for software product managers in Virginia, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems. Some candidates, particularly those from Australia or Canada, may also be sponsored under E-3 or TN visas respectively. L-1 transfers occur when candidates move within a multinational company.
Which cities in Virginia have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Northern Virginia dominates, with McLean, Reston, Arlington, and Tysons Corner hosting the highest concentration of software product manager roles tied to visa sponsorship. This area sits within the broader Washington D.C. metro and benefits from proximity to federal agencies and major tech contracts. Richmond is a secondary market, driven by Capital One's headquarters and a growing fintech presence.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Virginia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and lets you filter software product manager roles in Virginia by visa sponsorship eligibility, removing the guesswork of identifying which employers will actually support a work visa. Given how many Virginia employers are government contractors with varying clearance and citizenship requirements, filtering for open sponsorship positions upfront saves significant time in your search.
Are there any Virginia-specific factors that affect software product manager visa sponsorship?
Yes. A significant share of Virginia's tech employers hold federal government contracts, and many of those roles require U.S. security clearances that are only available to citizens or permanent residents. This reduces the pool of sponsoring employers compared to other tech hubs. However, commercial tech firms and non-classified divisions of larger contractors do actively sponsor, so candidates should specifically target roles outside the cleared space.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Virginia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
