- Champion user-centric thinking for construction professionals; measure your teams’ success through adoption, performance metrics, user satisfaction, and workflow efficiency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or an equal amount of related professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software development with 3+ years of experience in people management. Experience leading a full-stack team building enterprise-grade web applications with strong execution, resilience, and business impact is preferred.
- Desire to integrate workflow automation into engineering processes.
- Deep proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure), including microservices, serverless patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on experience with backend technologies such as .NET, Node.js, or similar stacks, including REST and event-driven architectures.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, distributed, or cloud-based systems.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders, influence their decision making, and challenge the status quo when necessary.
- Adaptability and resilience, including the capacity to navigate changing priorities, manage ambiguity, and help teams adjust to evolving business needs in a dynamic environment.

Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for software product managers?
Epic Systems, based in Verona near Madison, is one of Wisconsin's most consistent sponsors of software product managers through the H-1B visa program. Fiserv in Milwaukee and Northwestern Mutual also hire PMs at scale. Mid-size SaaS and fintech firms in Madison's University Research Park corridor round out the sponsorship pool, though willingness to sponsor varies by role and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for software product managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT may also find Wisconsin employers willing to transition them. The O-1A is an option for PMs with documented exceptional achievement.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for software product manager roles in Wisconsin without sifting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can narrow results to Wisconsin and browse openings at employers like Epic Systems, Fiserv, and others that have a documented history of H-1B sponsorship for PM roles.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
Madison is the primary hub, driven by Epic Systems in nearby Verona, the University of Wisconsin's tech spinout ecosystem, and a growing concentration of SaaS companies. Milwaukee is the second-largest market, anchored by Fiserv, Northwestern Mutual, and several insurtech and fintech firms. Outside these two cities, sponsorship opportunities for software product managers are limited.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for software product manager visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin does not have state-level visa programs, so federal H-1B prevailing wage requirements apply. Software product manager roles in Madison and Milwaukee are benchmarked against DOL wage data for those metropolitan areas, which can differ meaningfully from national figures. The University of Wisconsin-Madison also creates a local pipeline of international students on OPT who pursue PM roles, so competition for sponsored positions in Madison can be significant.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
