Which companies sponsor visas for software product managers in Missouri?
World Wide Technology and Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) in St. Louis and Kansas City are among the most active H-1B sponsors for product roles in Missouri. Other consistent sponsors include Mastercard's St. Louis operations, Scottrade's successor Edward Jones, and mid-size healthcare IT firms. Enterprise technology and financial services companies account for the majority of software product manager sponsorship filings in the state.
Which visa types are most common for software product manager roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for software product managers in Missouri. The role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding L-1B or O-1 visa status may also find employer transfers into product manager roles. TN visa status is available for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible categories.
Which cities in Missouri have the most software product manager sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis leads the state for software product manager sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of enterprise technology, financial services, and healthcare IT employers. Kansas City is a close second, with growing product teams at companies in fintech, insurance, and logistics technology. Columbia sees smaller but consistent demand, partly due to its proximity to the University of Missouri and regional tech employers.
How to find software product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate filters software product manager roles specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search Missouri positions without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces companies with documented H-1B filing histories for product roles in St. Louis and Kansas City. Focusing your search on enterprise technology, healthcare IT, and financial services sectors will yield the most relevant Missouri results on Migrate Mate.
Are there any state-specific considerations for software product managers pursuing sponsorship in Missouri?
Missouri does not impose state-level restrictions on H-1B sponsorship, so federal prevailing wage rules set by the Department of Labor govern compensation requirements. St. Louis and Kansas City are designated as separate metropolitan areas with their own prevailing wage determinations, which employers must meet when filing Labor Condition Applications. University of Missouri and Washington University alumni networks have historically contributed to employer pipelines for international product candidates in the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software product manager jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
