Which companies sponsor visas for VP Business Development roles in Florida?
Florida-based employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for senior business development roles include Chewy, Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), Carnival Corporation, and Citrix. Miami's concentration of Latin American headquarters also means multinational companies frequently sponsor VP-level talent with regional market expertise. Technology, logistics, and financial services firms tend to file the most senior-level petitions in the state.
Which visa types are most common for VP Business Development roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for VP Business Development roles, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, or a related field. Senior executives with multinational experience may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa if moving from a foreign affiliate. The O-1A is an option for candidates with documented extraordinary achievement in business development.
Which cities in Florida have the most VP Business Development sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for VP Business Development sponsorship activity, driven by its role as a hub for international trade, fintech, and regional headquarters of global companies. Tampa and Orlando follow closely, with Tampa's growing cybersecurity and healthcare sectors and Orlando's expanding technology and defense simulation industries both generating demand for senior business development leadership. Jacksonville also sees sponsorship activity in logistics and financial services.
How to find vp business development visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find VP Business Development roles in Florida where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsorship-eligible positions, saving significant time compared to manually screening job postings. Given that VP-level roles are less frequently posted publicly, Migrate Mate's curated board surfaces opportunities from Florida employers across Miami, Tampa, and Orlando that are actively hiring at the senior leadership level.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for VP Business Development visa sponsorship candidates?
Florida's large international business community, particularly in Miami, means employers there are often more familiar with visa sponsorship processes than employers in smaller U.S. markets. However, VP Business Development roles must still meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard, which requires demonstrating that the position demands theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge. Candidates should expect employers to document the degree requirement carefully, especially for roles that blend sales leadership with strategic oversight.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vp business development jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
