Responsibilities
What you will do
- Optimizes daily all modality schedules by being the central point of contact for all add on procedures.
- Facilitates communications between referring physicians and radiologists.
- Follows-up with patient to reschedule appointments for those who do not show or cancel appointments.
- Operates and utilizes the Scheduler Program in the hospital scheduling system.
- Proactively identifies open timeslots and contacts patients and referrers to backfill slots.
- Builds relationships with referring offices to become central point of contact for immediate appointment availability.
- Fields referrers’ special requests for reports, unique protocols, follow-up, etc.
- Central contact for any technical recalls requested by the radiologist.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program preferred
Work Experience
- 2 years of administrative/clerical experience required
- Imaging scheduling experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- None required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support preferred
