Which companies sponsor visas for nurse managers in Georgia?
Emory Healthcare, Wellstar Health System, Piedmont Healthcare, Northside Hospital, and Grady Health System are among the larger Georgia employers with histories of sponsoring clinical leadership roles. HCA Healthcare facilities operating in Georgia, such as Eastside Medical Center, have also filed sponsorship petitions for nursing management positions. Sponsorship decisions are made case by case and are not guaranteed at any employer.
Which visa types are most common for nurse manager roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for nurse managers because the role typically requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher, meeting the specialty occupation standard. EB-3 immigrant visas are also used when employers pursue permanent residence for clinical leaders. Nurses on TN status are generally limited to direct patient care roles, so nurse manager positions usually require H-1B or immigrant visa pathways.
Which cities in Georgia have the most nurse manager sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta and its metro area, including Marietta, Roswell, and Duluth, account for the largest share of nurse manager sponsorship activity given the concentration of major health systems there. Augusta is a secondary hub, anchored by Piedmont Augusta and Wellstar MCG Health. Savannah, Macon, and Columbus have smaller but active hospital markets that periodically post nurse manager openings with sponsorship.
How to find nurse manager visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search nurse manager positions in Georgia without sorting through postings that don't apply to international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings from Georgia health systems. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate also helps you track new sponsorship postings as they appear.
Are there state-specific considerations for nurse manager visa sponsorship in Georgia?
Georgia requires nurse managers to hold an active Registered Nurse license issued by the Georgia Board of Nursing. International candidates must have their foreign nursing credentials evaluated and pass NCLEX before licensure is granted, which should be completed before or during the sponsorship process. Georgia's large academic medical centers, including those affiliated with Emory University and Augusta University, often have established international hiring infrastructure for clinical leadership roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nurse manager jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
