Which companies sponsor visas for nurse managers in New Jersey?
The largest sponsors in New Jersey include RWJBarnabas Health, Hackensack Meridian Health, Atlantic Health System, Virtua Health, and Saint Peter's Healthcare System. Academic medical centers such as Rutgers Health and University Hospital in Newark also sponsor nurse managers. These systems operate multiple campuses statewide, which increases the frequency of open management-level positions requiring sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for nurse manager roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa for nurse managers in New Jersey, as the role typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in nursing, meeting specialty occupation standards. EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship is also pursued by large health systems for long-term hires. Some candidates already holding TN or O-1 status may qualify depending on their background and citizenship.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most nurse manager sponsorship jobs?
Newark, Hackensack, Morristown, New Brunswick, and Camden tend to have the highest concentration of nurse manager openings with sponsorship. Newark and New Brunswick are anchored by major academic medical centers, while Hackensack and Morristown host large regional health system campuses. Southern New Jersey, particularly the Camden area, is growing due to expanded health system operations there.
How to find nurse manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for nurse manager roles in New Jersey without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and job title to surface relevant postings from New Jersey health systems. This saves significant time compared to reviewing general job boards where sponsorship status is often unlisted.
Are there any state-specific considerations for nurse managers seeking visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey requires registered nurses to hold an active state license from the New Jersey Board of Nursing, which is a prerequisite for any nurse manager role regardless of visa status. International nurses should begin the licensing process early, as credential evaluation and endorsement can take several months. New Jersey's high cost of living and proximity to New York City also mean prevailing wage determinations for nurse managers are among the higher in the Northeast.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nurse manager jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
