Which companies in Georgia sponsor visas for product software engineers?
Atlanta-based employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship records for product software engineers include NCR Voyix, Global Payments, Cox Communications, and Fiserv. Outside fintech, Delta Technology and Home Depot's engineering division have also filed sponsorships for product-focused engineering roles. Consulting firms and staffing companies with Georgia offices, such as Infosys and Cognizant, sponsor a significant share of these positions as well.
Which visa types are most common for product software engineer roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product software engineers in Georgia, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Employers also sponsor L-1B visas for intracompany transfers with specialized knowledge. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the software engineer category.
Which cities in Georgia have the most product software engineer sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of product software engineer sponsorship jobs in Georgia. Neighborhoods like Midtown, Buckhead, and the Technology Square area near Georgia Tech host the densest concentration of employers. Secondary hiring activity exists in Alpharetta, which has a recognized technology corridor with companies like NCR Voyix and ADP, and in Duluth, where several technology and financial services firms maintain engineering offices.
How to find product software engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find product software engineer roles in Georgia without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by state and role type to surface relevant openings from Georgia employers with active sponsorship programs. This saves significant time compared to manually reviewing individual job postings to determine sponsorship eligibility.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for product software engineers in Georgia?
Georgia's fintech and payments industry concentration means many product software engineer roles require domain knowledge in financial systems, which can strengthen a specialty occupation case for H-1B purposes. Georgia Tech and Emory University supply a steady pipeline of international graduates on OPT, so many Atlanta employers are familiar with sponsorship processes. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations apply based on the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Alpharetta metropolitan area for most Georgia-based roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product software engineer jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
