Which companies sponsor visas for product software engineers in New Hampshire?
Companies with established engineering operations in New Hampshire that have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for software roles include BAE Systems, Oracle, Segue Technologies, and Fidelity Investments (with offices near the southern border). Defense contractors and financial technology firms in the Manchester-Nashua corridor represent the most active sponsoring employers for product software engineers in the state.
Which visa types are most common for product software engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product software engineers in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Australian citizens may also qualify for the E-3 visa, which bypasses the H-1B lottery. Employers occasionally sponsor L-1 visa transfers for engineers moving from international offices.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most product software engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of product software engineer sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua's proximity to the Massachusetts state line makes it attractive for employers with dual footprints in both states. Bedford and Portsmouth also have smaller but active technology employer bases. Most remote-eligible roles sponsored through New Hampshire entities are still tied administratively to these southern-tier cities.
How to find product software engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse product software engineer roles in New Hampshire without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Because New Hampshire's tech market is smaller than neighboring Massachusetts, filtering by state and role type on Migrate Mate helps surface the employers actively hiring and sponsoring in the region rather than those simply posting broadly.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product software engineers pursuing sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since take-home pay differs from neighboring states. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations for product software engineers are set at the federal level by metropolitan statistical area, so roles in the Manchester-Nashua MSA follow those published wage tiers. University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University contribute local engineering talent pipelines, though international graduate numbers are modest compared to major research universities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product software engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
