Which companies sponsor visas for strategic business development roles in Georgia?
Several large Georgia-based employers have consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories for business development roles, including Global Payments, NCR Voyix, Cox Enterprises, and Delta Air Lines. Atlanta's growing technology and fintech sectors also include companies like Salesforce, Microsoft, and Honeywell with Georgia offices that have sponsored international candidates in business strategy and development functions.
Which visa types are most common for strategic business development roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa for strategic business development roles in Georgia, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in fields like business, finance, or economics. Candidates with multinational backgrounds may also be considered for L-1B visas if transferring within the same company. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business analyst categories.
Which cities in Georgia have the most strategic business development sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the vast majority of strategic business development visa sponsorship opportunities in Georgia. Buckhead and Midtown Atlanta host a concentration of financial services, technology, and professional services firms. Secondary markets including Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and Dunwoody also have notable employer presence, particularly in technology and healthcare services companies with international hiring programs.
How to find strategic business development visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search for strategic business development roles in Georgia without sifting through postings from employers unwilling to sponsor. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings at Georgia-based companies with documented sponsorship activity, saving significant time in your job search.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for strategic business development sponsorship roles?
Georgia does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal standards, but employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Atlanta or relevant metropolitan area, which reflects local market conditions. Georgia's research university pipeline, including Georgia Tech and Emory University, means many employers in the state have existing international hiring infrastructure, which can make the sponsorship process more familiar to HR teams.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategic business development jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
