Which companies in Idaho sponsor visas for program development managers?
Idaho employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories in management and program roles include Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls, and St. Luke's Health System. Larger technology and healthcare organizations are the most consistent sponsors for program development manager positions, as smaller Idaho employers in agriculture or local government rarely pursue work visa sponsorship for management roles.
Which visa types are most common for program development manager roles in Idaho?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for program development managers in Idaho, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates with extraordinary recognition in their field may also qualify for an O-1A. International managers transferring within a multinational company should look into the L-1A, which is designed for intracompany transferees in managerial roles.
Which cities in Idaho have the most program development manager sponsorship jobs?
Boise accounts for the large majority of program development manager sponsorship opportunities in Idaho, driven by its concentration of technology companies, healthcare systems, and government contractors. Meridian and Idaho Falls are secondary markets worth monitoring, particularly for roles tied to healthcare administration and federal research programs at Idaho National Laboratory. Smaller cities in Idaho have very limited sponsorship activity for this role.
How to find program development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters program development manager roles in Idaho by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from manually screening hundreds of postings. Because sponsorship-willing employers in Idaho are concentrated in specific industries, using Migrate Mate to target Boise-area tech, healthcare, and federal contractor postings is a practical starting point for your search.
Are there state-specific considerations for program development managers seeking sponsorship in Idaho?
Idaho does not have a state-level work visa program, so all sponsorship goes through federal processes. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay prevailing wages as determined by the Department of Labor for the Boise or Idaho Falls metropolitan areas, which differ from national averages. Idaho's growing university system, including Boise State University and the University of Idaho, creates a regional talent pipeline that can make local employers more familiar with sponsoring international graduates into program management roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program development manager jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
