Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for program development managers?
Larger Indiana employers with established HR infrastructure are the most consistent sponsors. Eli Lilly, Cummins, Salesforce, and Indiana University Health have sponsored H-1B visa and other work visas for program development and management roles. University employers like Indiana University and Purdue University also sponsor through academic and administrative channels. Smaller organizations sponsor less frequently, so targeting enterprise-level employers improves your odds.
What visa types are most commonly used for program development manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program development manager positions, as the role typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, public administration, or a related discipline. Candidates with extraordinary achievement may qualify for the O-1 visa. Those transferring within a multinational organization may be eligible for the L-1A if the role involves managerial responsibilities.
Which Indiana cities have the most program development manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis concentrates the majority of sponsorship activity, driven by its corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and tech sector presence. Fort Wayne and South Bend have a smaller but active pool of opportunities tied to manufacturing and nonprofit sectors. Bloomington and West Lafayette see hiring through Indiana University and Purdue University, respectively, where program development roles often align with grant-funded or research-adjacent functions.
How to find program development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for program development manager roles in Indiana without sifting through positions that don't sponsor. You can narrow results to Indiana and the program development manager category to see employers actively hiring. This saves significant time compared to manually checking whether individual postings offer sponsorship.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for program development managers seeking sponsorship?
Indiana's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are set at the federal level using Department of Labor wage data, but actual wage benchmarks vary by metro area. Indianapolis commands higher prevailing wages than smaller markets like Terre Haute or Muncie. Employers affiliated with Indiana's Big Ten universities sometimes offer cap-exempt H-1B sponsorship, which bypasses the annual lottery and can make academic or research-adjacent roles particularly accessible.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program development manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
