Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for program development managers?
Wisconsin's most active sponsors for program development manager roles include Epic Systems in Verona, Advocate Aurora Health in Milwaukee, American Family Insurance in Madison, and Kohler Co. in Kohler. Healthcare networks and enterprise software companies file the most H-1B visa petitions for management-level positions in the state. Large manufacturers with global operations, such as Oshkosh Corporation and Rockwell Automation, also sponsor international candidates for senior program roles.
Which visa types are most common for program development manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program development managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business administration, public health, or engineering. Candidates with extraordinary achievement may qualify for the O-1A. Those transferring within a multinational organization may pursue the L-1A, which applies to managers moving from an overseas office to a U.S. entity.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most program development manager sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee account for the largest share of program development manager sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Madison benefits from Epic Systems' large campus in nearby Verona, the University of Wisconsin system's administrative infrastructure, and a growing technology sector. Milwaukee is home to major healthcare employers and corporate headquarters. Green Bay, Appleton, and Eau Claire see more limited activity, primarily through healthcare networks and regional manufacturing firms.
How to find program development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for program development manager roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state, role type, and visa category to surface relevant openings at employers like Epic Systems, Advocate Aurora Health, and American Family Insurance. Migrate Mate's board is built for international candidates navigating the U.S. job market.
Are there any state-specific or role-specific considerations for program development managers seeking sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's H-1B prevailing wage determinations for program development managers are set by the Department of Labor and vary by metro area, with Madison and Milwaukee generally reflecting higher wage levels than smaller markets. Employers must certify that hiring a sponsored worker won't adversely affect wages or conditions for similarly employed U.S. workers. Wisconsin's large nonprofit healthcare sector, including federally qualified health centers, qualifies as cap-exempt for H-1B purposes, which can simplify the sponsorship timeline.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program development manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
