Which companies sponsor visas for program development managers in Kentucky?
Louisville-based employers are the most active sponsors for program development manager roles in Kentucky. Humana, Kindred Healthcare, and UPS have filed Labor Condition Applications for program and project management positions in past years. Lexington employers including the University of Kentucky and Tempur Sealy have also sponsored management-level roles. Sponsorship activity is concentrated in healthcare, logistics, and higher education sectors.
Which visa types are most common for program development manager roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program development managers in Kentucky, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. The L-1A is relevant for managers transferring from a foreign affiliate of a Kentucky employer. Candidates with extraordinary leadership credentials may also explore the O-1A category.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most program development manager sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the majority of program development manager sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of large healthcare systems, logistics companies, and financial services firms. Lexington is the second most active market, supported by the University of Kentucky, UK HealthCare, and a growing technology sector. Smaller markets like Bowling Green and Covington see occasional openings tied to manufacturing and regional operations.
How to find program development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a history of visa sponsorship, which saves significant time compared to applying broadly. For program development manager positions in Kentucky, searching Migrate Mate by role and state surfaces openings in Louisville and Lexington where sponsorship is most active. Filtering by industry, such as healthcare or logistics, helps narrow results to the sectors with the highest sponsorship rates in this state.
Are there any state-specific considerations for program development managers seeking sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B program development manager roles are determined by the Department of Labor using the Louisville-Jefferson County or Lexington-Fayette metropolitan area wage data, depending on the work location. Employers in Kentucky's healthcare sector, particularly in Louisville, tend to have established immigration counsel and structured sponsorship processes compared to smaller regional employers where sponsorship infrastructure may be less developed.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program development manager jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
