Which companies sponsor visas for program development managers in Texas?
Large Texas-based employers with consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories for program development and management roles include AT&T, Dell Technologies, American Airlines, ExxonMobil, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Lockheed Martin. Enterprise technology consultancies and healthcare systems operating across Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and Austin also appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data for this role category.
Which visa types are most common for program development manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most widely used visa for program development manager positions in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as business, engineering, or computer science. L-1A intracompany transferee visas are also common when candidates are transferring from a foreign affiliate into a Texas-based managerial role. Some candidates may qualify under TN visa status if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories.
Which cities in Texas have the most program development manager sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads the state for program development manager sponsorship activity, driven by concentrations in technology, finance, and telecommunications. Houston is the primary hub for energy-sector and healthcare program management roles. Austin has seen increasing demand as companies like Apple, Google, and Oracle have expanded Texas operations. San Antonio also has a notable presence through defense contractors and healthcare organizations.
How to find program development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search program development manager openings in Texas without manually screening out employers who do not sponsor. The platform focuses on roles where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness, which is particularly useful in Texas given the spread of qualifying employers across Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and Austin. Searching by city and role on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to the industry hubs most relevant to your background.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for program development manager sponsorship candidates?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects the prevailing wage calculation context employers consider when sponsoring visas, though the Department of Labor sets prevailing wage requirements independently of state tax policy. Texas's size means industry context matters considerably: energy-sector program managers concentrate in Houston, defense and aerospace roles in Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio, and technology-focused roles predominantly in Austin. University pipelines from UT Austin, Texas A&M, and Rice University also influence local hiring competition for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program development manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
