Which companies in Nebraska sponsor visas for program development managers?
Employers with established visa sponsorship histories for program development managers in Nebraska include Mutual of Omaha, Union Pacific, Methodist Health System, and the University of Nebraska system. Large healthcare networks and financial services firms in Omaha tend to have dedicated HR and legal infrastructure to support H-1B petitions, making them more likely to sponsor qualified international candidates for program management roles.
Which visa types are most common for program development manager roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for program development managers in Nebraska, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialized field such as business administration, public administration, or a related discipline. Candidates already holding L-1B or O-1 status may also qualify depending on their background, and some university-affiliated positions can support J-1 exchange visitor appointments.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most program development manager sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the majority of program development manager sponsorship opportunities in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and financial services firms. Lincoln is the second most active market, largely due to the University of Nebraska and state government-adjacent organizations. Smaller cities like Grand Island and Kearney have limited sponsorship activity for this role.
How to find program development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship, so you can search program development manager positions in Nebraska without sorting through employers unlikely to sponsor. The platform is particularly useful for identifying which Omaha and Lincoln employers have active openings and a track record of supporting H-1B petitions for program management candidates.
Are there any Nebraska-specific considerations for program development managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Nebraska follows federal prevailing wage requirements, so employers must document that compensation meets Department of Labor wage levels for program development manager roles in the Omaha or Lincoln metropolitan areas. The University of Nebraska system is a cap-exempt institution, meaning positions there are not subject to the annual H-1B lottery, which can be a meaningful advantage for candidates who have not yet secured H-1B status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program development manager jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
