What you will do:
- Perform client consultation: plan, design, implement, and support Physical Security Systems.
- Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing Physical Security Systems and recommend solutions.
- Set up, configure, and test Physical Security Systems that include video surveillance, access control, sensors, air quality control, and third-party integrations.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems.
- Assist Account Managers during the sales process by educating the customer about new technologies in the Physical Security space. Identify and communicate potential opportunities for cross-selling to the sales team.
- Assist in the management of projects using CDW's project management methodology. Follow life-cycle-oriented processes and procedures.
- Ensure a stable performance environment for enterprise computer applications.
- Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade converged network solutions.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems.
- Serve as a technical point of contact on customer engagement. Regularly interface with technical and business staff of customers, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements.
- Create and execute test plans to meet project requirements for assigned components.
- Manage time and expenses to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of Work.
- Provide high-quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates.
- Ensure solution is implemented as designed to the customer’s satisfaction and approval.
- Work with Professional Services Managers, Sellers, Project Managers, Partners, and customers to manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are met.
- Conducts/leads design workshops for complex designs to meet customer, partners, business, and technical objectives.
- Proactively develops plans and activities to avoid problems.
- Educates the customer on solutions as appropriate throughout the life of the project or service life.
What we expect of you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree and 3 years of experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation, and support, OR 7 years total Information Technology experience, to include 3 years of experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation, and support.
- Minimum of 2 years of consulting experience.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in infrastructure/network environments, with some experience in network engineering (hardware and software), network security practices and designing, planning, and implementing LANs and WANs using the latest technology.
- Experience in Genetec or Milestone systems engineering experience.
- Minimum of one year experience in programming or analytical work.
- Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs.
- Ability to travel between 25% to 50%.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients.
- Physically able to lift to 30 pounds of equipment.
- Attention to detail on inventory and logistics is important.
- Axis Certified Professional Certification, a plus.
- Genetec Security Center Omnicast and Synergis Certificates, a plus.
- Milestone Certified Integration Technician Certificate, a plus.
- Meraki MV Experience, a plus.
- Verkada Experience, a plus.
- Video Surveillance System Implementation Experience, a plus.
- Access Control System Implementation Experience, a plus.
- Environmental Sensor Implementation Experience, a plus.
- IoT Device Implementation Experience, a plus.
