Which consulting companies sponsor TN visas in Illinois?
The largest consulting employers in Illinois with known TN sponsorship activity include Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, EY, McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, and Slalom, all of which maintain significant Chicago offices. Mid-size IT consulting and management consulting firms across the Chicago metro also sponsor TN visas, particularly for roles in technology implementation, financial advisory, and operations consulting.
Which cities in Illinois have the most consulting TN sponsorship jobs?
Chicago accounts for the overwhelming majority of consulting TN sponsorship jobs in Illinois, particularly in the Loop, River North, and Fulton Market districts where large consulting firms and corporate headquarters are concentrated. Schaumburg and Oak Brook in the suburbs also have a notable presence of technology consulting and professional services firms that sponsor TN workers, though at lower volume than downtown Chicago.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in consulting generally applies to roles that require a specific bachelor's degree in a qualifying field. Management consultants, systems analysts, engineers, accountants, and scientific consultants commonly qualify. The role must align with a recognized TN occupation category, and the employer must be able to demonstrate that the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related discipline, not just any degree.
How do I find consulting TN sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible professionals and filters job listings by visa type, industry, and state, making it straightforward to browse consulting TN sponsorship jobs in Illinois without manually screening hundreds of postings. You can filter directly for TN-sponsored consulting roles in Illinois, which is especially useful given how rarely employers label sponsorship availability in standard job descriptions.
Are there any Illinois-specific considerations for consulting TN sponsorship?
Illinois does not impose state-level visa restrictions, but consulting roles in Chicago often involve client site work across multiple locations, which can raise questions about LCA compliance and worksite coverage. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications for Illinois-based consulting roles should account for any out-of-state client assignments. Canadian citizens can enter on a TN at the border, while Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate, regardless of where the job is located.
