Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for cloud architects?
Indianapolis-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity for cloud and infrastructure roles include Salesforce, Eli Lilly and Company, Anthem (now Elevance Health), and OneAmerica. Consulting firms with Indiana offices, including Infosys and Wipro, also file H-1B petitions for cloud architect positions. Sponsorship patterns vary by employer size, hiring cycle, and business need, so verifying recent LCA filings through the Department of Labor's disclosure data is the most reliable approach.
Which visa types are most common for cloud architect roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for cloud architect positions in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field. Candidates already holding L-1B intracompany transferee status or O-1 visas may also be placed into cloud architect roles. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose qualifications fit DOL-recognized computer science categories.
How to find cloud architect visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters cloud architect roles in Indiana by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sifting through listings that won't support work authorization. The platform surfaces employers with active H-1B or other sponsorship histories, which is especially useful in Indiana where sponsoring companies are concentrated in Indianapolis and a few secondary markets. Filtering by role and state on Migrate Mate gives you a focused, verified starting point.
Which cities in Indiana have the most cloud architect visa sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of cloud architect sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of healthcare technology, financial services, and insurance employers. Bloomington has some presence due to Indiana University's technology operations and affiliated employers. Fort Wayne and Carmel see smaller but growing activity as suburban tech campuses expand. For international candidates, Indianapolis should be the primary geographic focus when targeting sponsored cloud architect roles in the state.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for cloud architect visa sponsorship?
Indiana's life sciences and health informatics sectors create cloud architect demand tied to regulated data environments, meaning employers often require familiarity with HIPAA-compliant cloud architecture, which can influence how job descriptions are written and how specialty occupation qualifications are assessed during H-1B adjudication. Indiana University and Purdue University also produce a pipeline of international graduate students in computer science who frequently enter the H-1B process through Indiana-based employers after completing OPT.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud architect jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
