Which companies sponsor visas for cloud architects in Colorado?
Several large and mid-size employers in Colorado have established H-1B visa sponsorship track records for cloud architect roles. Amazon Web Services, Oracle, and Palantir have significant Colorado presences. Lockheed Martin and Raytheon sponsor cloud architecture talent in the aerospace and defense corridors around Denver and Colorado Springs. Healthcare technology firms like Change Healthcare and DaVita also appear in Department of Labor LCA filings for cloud-focused positions.
Which visa types are most common for cloud architect roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud architects in Colorado, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates with advanced qualifications sometimes pursue the O-1A for extraordinary ability. Multinational professionals may qualify for an L-1A or L-1B if transferring within the same organization to a Colorado office.
Which cities in Colorado have the most cloud architect sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its surrounding metro area, including Aurora and Englewood, account for the majority of cloud architect sponsorship activity in Colorado. Boulder has a concentrated cluster of technology startups and research-driven companies that hire at the architect level. Colorado Springs draws cloud architecture demand from defense contractors and government IT services firms. Fort Collins, home to Colorado State University and several technology employers, also generates occasional sponsorship opportunities.
How to find cloud architect visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that offer visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search cloud architect positions in Colorado without sifting through roles that exclude international candidates. You can filter by state and job category to surface active openings from Colorado-based employers. Migrate Mate also provides context on which companies have sponsored visas historically, which is useful when prioritizing applications for cloud architect roles.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for cloud architects in Colorado?
Colorado's FAMLI and Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requirements affect employer compensation disclosures, meaning many cloud architect job postings in Colorado must include pay ranges, which can help you assess whether an offer meets the prevailing wage requirement tied to your H-1B petition. Colorado's concentration of federal contractors also means some cloud architect roles require security clearances, which international candidates on nonimmigrant visas may not be eligible to obtain, effectively limiting the pool of sponsoring employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud architect jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
