Which companies in Kentucky sponsor visas for cloud architects?
Louisville-based Humana is among the most active sponsors for cloud architecture roles in Kentucky, given its heavy investment in cloud-based healthcare data platforms. Logistics and supply chain firms, regional banks, and managed service providers in the Louisville and Lexington metro areas also sponsor cloud architects through H-1B petitions. Checking Department of Labor LCA disclosure data confirms which employers have active sponsorship histories.
Which visa types are most common for cloud architect roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for cloud architects in Kentucky, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may pursue TN status under the USMCA. Australians may qualify for the E-3. Each pathway requires employer sponsorship and a certified Labor Condition Application.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most cloud architect sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the largest share of cloud architect sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of healthcare, insurance, and logistics employers with enterprise cloud programs. Lexington is a secondary market, with University of Kentucky Health and regional tech firms contributing to hiring. Outside these two metros, sponsored cloud architect roles are rare, so most candidates focus their search on Louisville first.
How to find cloud architect visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter cloud architect roles by state, including Kentucky. Because not all job postings disclose sponsorship willingness upfront, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with verified sponsorship histories, saving significant research time. Filtering by Kentucky narrows results to Louisville, Lexington, and the surrounding region where sponsored cloud roles are most concentrated.
Are there state-specific considerations for cloud architects pursuing sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky does not have a state income tax structure or tech-specific incentive that directly affects visa sponsorship, but employers claiming state economic development credits sometimes expand their technical hiring. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville both produce computer science graduates, which has helped build a local talent pipeline. However, competition for senior cloud architect roles remains lower than coastal markets, which can work in sponsored candidates' favor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud architect jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
