The L-1A is frequently used for intracompany transferees moving into managerial or executive roles at Indiana-based subsidiaries. The O-1A applies to individuals with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in business leadership, though it requires extensive documentation.

Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for executive management visa sponsorship?
Indiana's manufacturing and life sciences sectors, particularly around Indianapolis and Columbus, drive consistent demand for senior international talent. The state's relatively lower cost of operations compared to coastal markets means prevailing wage determinations for executive roles can differ from national benchmarks. Employers in Indiana's healthcare sector, including large hospital networks, often have in-house immigration counsel experienced in sponsoring management-level candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored executive management jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
