Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for product engineering managers?
Eli Lilly, Cummins, Salesforce, and Rolls-Royce are among the Indiana employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for technical management roles. Larger enterprises in Indianapolis and Columbus tend to have dedicated immigration support teams, which makes the sponsorship process more structured. Smaller Indiana tech firms sponsor less frequently, though it does happen for experienced candidates.
Which visa types are most common for product engineering manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product engineering managers in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1A status through a multinational employer may also transfer into a product engineering manager position. O-1 visas are possible but require documented extraordinary achievement.
Which cities in Indiana have the most product engineering manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of product engineering manager sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of life sciences, technology, and manufacturing headquarters. Columbus is notable for Cummins' global engineering operations. Fort Wayne and Bloomington see occasional openings tied to manufacturing and university-affiliated research, though at lower volumes than the Indianapolis metro area.
How to find product engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse product engineering manager roles in Indiana without manually screening each posting. The platform surfaces employers in Indianapolis and across Indiana that have active sponsorship programs for this role. This is particularly useful for narrowing down which companies are realistically open to sponsoring an H-1B for a senior engineering management position.
Are there state-specific considerations for product engineering managers seeking sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are determined by the Department of Labor using the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson metropolitan area data for most roles in the region. Because product engineering manager is a senior position, it typically falls into higher wage levels, which means employers must meet correspondingly higher prevailing wage thresholds. Indiana's engineering talent pipeline from Purdue University and Indiana University also means employers are familiar with sponsoring international graduates into this role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineering manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
