Which companies in Washington sponsor visas for product engineering managers?
Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Salesforce, Meta, and Expedia are among the most active sponsors for product engineering manager roles in Washington. Mid-sized technology companies in the Seattle and Bellevue areas, including companies in cloud infrastructure, e-commerce, and enterprise software, also have established sponsorship programs and regularly file H-1B visa petitions for senior engineering management positions.
Which visa types are most common for product engineering manager roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product engineering manager roles in Washington, given that the position typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. Candidates with prior multinational employer relationships may qualify for an L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Senior or distinguished engineering leaders with documented industry recognition may also be evaluated for O-1A eligibility.
How to find product engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, making it straightforward to identify product engineering manager openings in Washington where employers are actively open to sponsoring international candidates. You can search by role and state to surface relevant positions across the Seattle metro and Puget Sound region, avoiding the noise of listings that don't address sponsorship at all.
Which cities in Washington have the most product engineering manager sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue account for the overwhelming majority of product engineering manager sponsorship opportunities in Washington, anchored by Amazon's Seattle headquarters and Microsoft's Redmond campus just outside Bellevue. Redmond, Kirkland, and Bothell also have meaningful concentrations of tech employers. Outside the Puget Sound corridor, opportunities are significantly more limited.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for product engineering manager sponsorship candidates?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage calculations relate to overall compensation packages, though the federal H-1B prevailing wage requirement still applies based on the Department of Labor's wage levels for the Seattle-Bellevue metro area. The University of Washington produces a significant pipeline of engineering talent that large employers draw from, meaning competition for open roles can be high even among sponsored candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineering manager jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
