What you need to know about this position:
- Broad Imaging Services Department that performs an average of 80,000 exams per year and offering CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Ultra Sound, Nuclear Medicine and all digital X-Ray.
- Our Imaging Services Department supports Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Departments.
- Provides health care services applying x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient's conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
- Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This position is hourly and eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums.
- In a status working at least 16 hours per week, employees are benefit eligible.
What is required for this position:
Upon hire you must have:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent degree, completion of a military radiology program or completion of a hospital based radiology program required. Any and all must be approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- One year of practical experience as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent is required.
- Graduate working under a valid Student Rad Tech license: Must maintain a valid X-Ray Machine Operators License from the Indiana State Department of Health within 6 months post-graduation.
- Current Registration from ARRT required within 90 days post-graduation, required CE credits must be maintained in accordance with accrediting bodies requirements.
Within 30 days of hire, you must have:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.*
- If you do not have it, CRH provides training & time to acquire certification after employment.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and push or pull; must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
