Which companies sponsor visas for radiologic technologists in Indiana?
Indiana University Health is the largest health system in the state and a consistent sponsor of foreign-born clinical staff. Franciscan Health, Parkview Health, Ascension St. Vincent, and Community Health Network also employ radiologic technologists across multiple Indiana locations. Staffing agencies that place imaging professionals in hospital contracts have also filed H-1B petitions for qualified international candidates in Indiana.
Which visa types are most common for radiologic technologist roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for radiologic technologists in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in radiologic technology or a related field. EB-3 immigrant visas are also relevant for permanent sponsorship pathways. Some candidates enter through TN status if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals and meet USMCA eligibility criteria for medical technologists.
Which cities in Indiana have the most radiologic technologist sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis has the highest concentration of radiologic technologist positions in Indiana, driven by the presence of IU Health's flagship campus, Ascension St. Vincent, and several large outpatient imaging networks. Fort Wayne is the second-largest market, anchored by Parkview Health and Parkview Regional Medical Center. South Bend, Muncie, and Terre Haute also have active hospital systems that periodically hire for imaging roles.
How to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international job seekers and filters radiologic technologist openings by visa sponsorship availability and state. Searching Indiana on Migrate Mate surfaces positions from hospital systems and imaging centers that have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for clinical roles. This is more efficient than general job boards, which don't filter by sponsorship status.
Are there any state-specific considerations for radiologic technologists seeking sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana requires radiologic technologists to hold a license issued by the Indiana State Department of Health, and most employers expect candidates to hold or be eligible for ARRT certification. International applicants should confirm their credentials meet Indiana's licensing standards before applying, as sponsoring employers will factor this into their hiring timeline. Indiana's lower cost of living relative to coastal states can affect prevailing wage determinations under H-1B filings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored radiologic technologist jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
