About Miebach
Miebach Consulting is a global leader in supply chain advisory and engineering. For over 50 years, we've helped organizations transform their supply chains into strategic assets. Our network of experts spans four continents, 27 cities, and counting.
About the role
We are seeking a senior warehouse operations professional who can quickly assess warehouse environments, identify operational gaps, and guide site leadership teams toward best-in-class operations.
In this role, you will work directly with clients across their warehouse networks to evaluate operational maturity, diagnose performance issues, and define practical improvement roadmaps. The work is highly site-oriented and requires strong credibility with warehouse leadership and frontline teams.
Rather than running operations directly, you will act as a trusted advisor—leveraging your operational experience to identify best practices, define operational standards, and guide client teams through improvement initiatives.
The objective is to stabilize operations, improve performance, and help organizations build the internal capabilities required to sustain improvements independently.
Ideal candidates have experience launching new distribution centers, stabilizing underperforming sites, or leading warehouse turnaround initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct operational maturity assessments across warehouse sites
- Evaluate layout, material flow, zoning, slotting, and infrastructure
- Assess operational planning including SOPs, KPIs, labor organization, and governance
- Identify performance gaps relative to industry best practices
- Develop site-specific operational improvement roadmaps
- Guide warehouse leadership teams through improvement initiatives
- Support deployment of operational excellence standards across multiple sites
- Monitor progress and address operational barriers during implementation
- Coach site leadership on performance management and operational discipline
- Help clients build internal capabilities to sustain improvements independently
Qualifications
- 7+ years of warehouse or distribution operations experience
- Experience in warehouse start-ups, operational turnaround, or site stabilization
- Strong understanding of warehouse layout, material flow, slotting, and workforce planning
- Familiarity with warehouse systems such as WMS, LMS, ERP, or automation environments
- Ability to quickly diagnose operational issues and recommend best-practice solutions
- Strong communication and leadership skills working with operational teams
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site in warehouse environments

Which companies sponsor visas for senior consultants in Indiana?
Indianapolis-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for consulting roles include Eli Lilly, Salesforce, Deloitte, Accenture, and Infosys. Large professional services firms and management consulting practices operating in Indiana tend to have dedicated immigration support processes, making them more likely to sponsor senior-level candidates than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for senior consultant roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for senior consultants in Indiana, given that these roles typically require a specialized bachelor's degree or higher in a field like business, engineering, or computer science. L-1A and L-1B visas apply when a candidate transfers within a multinational firm. TN visas cover Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management consultant roles.
Which cities in Indiana have the most senior consultant sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of senior consultant sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, professional services offices, and technology firms. Carmel and Fishers, both Indianapolis suburbs, also have a growing presence of consulting and financial services employers. Fort Wayne and Bloomington see occasional openings, particularly tied to manufacturing advisory and university-adjacent consulting work.
How to find senior consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse senior consultant openings in Indiana without sifting through roles that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by location and role type to focus on Indianapolis-area employers and consulting firms with active sponsorship programs, saving significant time in the job search process.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for senior consultants seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's life sciences sector, anchored by companies like Eli Lilly and Cook Medical, creates steady demand for senior consultants with specialized domain knowledge, which can support stronger specialty occupation arguments in H-1B petitions. The state's lower cost of living relative to coastal metros means prevailing wage requirements are generally set at levels that align well with consulting compensation norms in the region.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior consultant jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
