Which companies sponsor visas for technical managers in Indiana?
Employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship records for technical manager roles in Indiana include Eli Lilly, Cummins, Salesforce, Rolls-Royce, and Raytheon Technologies. Large healthcare systems such as Indiana University Health and Ascension also sponsor technical managers for IT and engineering functions. Manufacturing conglomerates headquartered in Fort Wayne and South Bend round out the sponsoring employer base.
Which visa types are most common for technical manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the predominant visa category for technical managers in Indiana, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialized field like engineering, computer science, or information systems. Multinational employers such as Cummins and Rolls-Royce also use the L-1A intratracompany transferee visa for managers moving from overseas offices to Indiana operations.
How to find technical manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search technical manager roles in Indiana without sifting through positions that don't sponsor. The platform surfaces openings from employers with documented sponsorship histories in the state, covering Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and South Bend. Setting up alerts for Indiana technical manager roles on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to stay current.
Which cities in Indiana have the most technical manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis generates the largest share of technical manager sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by Eli Lilly's global headquarters, Salesforce's Midwest hub, and a dense cluster of healthcare IT employers. Fort Wayne is a secondary market with manufacturing-focused technical manager roles at companies like Raytheon and Steel Technologies. South Bend sees periodic openings tied to automotive suppliers and Notre Dame's research partnerships.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for technical manager visa sponsorship?
Indiana's prevailing wage determinations for technical managers are set by the Department of Labor based on the specific work location, so wages differ between Indianapolis and smaller metros like Terre Haute or Muncie. Indiana's strong advanced manufacturing and life sciences sectors mean technical manager petitions often cite engineering or biomedical specializations. Employers filing in Indiana must post the Labor Condition Application notice at the actual worksite, which matters for hybrid and multi-site roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
