Which manufacturing companies in Indiana sponsor TN visas?
Several large Indiana manufacturers have established TN visa sponsorship patterns, including Cummins (diesel engine manufacturing in Columbus), Subaru of Indiana Automotive (Lafayette), Stellantis (Kokomo), and various pharmaceutical manufacturers in the Indianapolis area. Smaller precision manufacturers and auto suppliers across the state also sponsor TN visas, particularly for engineering and technical roles that meet the specialty occupation standard.
Which cities in Indiana have the most manufacturing TN sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis leads due to its concentration of pharmaceutical and advanced manufacturing employers. Columbus is a strong secondary market anchored by Cummins. Lafayette and Kokomo both have significant automotive manufacturing presence from Subaru and Stellantis respectively. Fort Wayne has a growing advanced manufacturing cluster. These cities offer the broadest range of TN-eligible manufacturing roles for Canadian and Mexican professionals.
What types of manufacturing roles in Indiana typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify include industrial engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality assurance engineers, process engineers, and chemists in pharmaceutical or materials manufacturing. The role must require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field and appear on the USMCA TN eligible occupations list. General production supervisor or operations manager roles may not qualify if degree requirements aren't specific.
How do I find manufacturing TN sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is purpose-built for TN visa holders and applicants, with job listings filtered specifically for TN sponsorship eligibility. Searching for manufacturing roles in Indiana on Migrate Mate surfaces employers already familiar with the TN process, which shortens the sponsorship conversation considerably. Filtering by state and visa type narrows results to Indiana manufacturing employers actively open to Canadian and Mexican candidates.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in manufacturing?
Indiana's heavy automotive and pharmaceutical manufacturing base means many employers routinely work with international engineers and have HR teams familiar with TN documentation. However, for roles at unionized facilities, it's worth confirming that the specific position is classified as a professional specialty role rather than a production classification, since TN eligibility depends entirely on the offered role meeting degree-level professional occupation criteria under USMCA.
