Which companies sponsor visas for assistant account managers in Iowa?
Iowa's largest visa sponsors for business and account management roles include Principal Financial Group and EMC Insurance in Des Moines, Rockwell Collins (now Collins Aerospace) in Cedar Rapids, and John Deere's regional operations. Insurance carriers and financial services firms file Labor Condition Applications for these roles more consistently than smaller agencies, making them the most reliable targets for international applicants seeking sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for assistant account manager roles in Iowa?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for assistant account manager positions when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or finance. The L-1B can apply for intracompany transfers within multinational firms operating in Iowa. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business roles. Eligibility depends on how the employer defines the position's degree requirements.
Which cities in Iowa have the most assistant account manager sponsorship jobs?
Des Moines concentrates the most opportunity, anchored by its insurance and financial services sector with employers like Principal Financial Group, Nationwide, and EMC Insurance. Cedar Rapids supports account management roles in manufacturing and aerospace through Collins Aerospace and related suppliers. Davenport and the Quad Cities area offers openings tied to regional banking and agribusiness. Iowa City sees some demand through university-affiliated healthcare and research organizations.
How to find assistant account manager visa sponsorship jobs in Iowa?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for assistant account manager openings in Iowa without wading through roles that don't support international candidates. You can narrow results by city, industry, and visa type. Given that Iowa's sponsoring employers are concentrated in insurance, financial services, and agribusiness, filtering by those sectors on Migrate Mate surfaces the most relevant opportunities.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for assistant account managers in Iowa?
Iowa follows federal prevailing wage rules, so employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay wages meeting Department of Labor standards for the specific role and location. Des Moines consistently shows higher wage levels for account management positions than smaller Iowa metros, which affects the LCA filing. Iowa's large insurance sector is regulated at the state level, meaning some roles may require licensure, which international applicants should factor into their timeline alongside visa processing.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant account manager jobs in Iowa?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
