Objective / Purpose:
Ability to perform manual labor and work inside a plant (i.e. heavy lifting, entry, working at heights, cleaning as instructed, etc.).
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
- Perform labor and helper functions as directed by management and plant personnel safely.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Sign/Date, and completely fill out all required paperwork.
- Maintain good housekeeping using organizational skills and follow safety policies.
- Follow work instructions and safety policies.
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
- Perform any additional tasks given by Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications
Education:
- High school or educational equivalent
Experience:
- Work experience in an industrial and plant environment – preferred
- Forklift experience
Skills:
- Possess valid driver’s license and have the ability to obtain a TWIC card
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the US.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Good communication, language, and reading skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks in a plant environment.
- Knowledge of proper PPE in differing tasks.
Work Environment / Conditions:
The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to.
- This job primarily operates in a plant setting and must be able to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
- Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions & physical demands of this role.
- Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.
- Climb on and off equipment repeatedly.
