Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for data management analysts?
Kansas employers with a track record of sponsoring work visas for data-focused roles include Koch Industries and its subsidiaries in Wichita, Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) in the Kansas City metro, Spirit AeroSystems, and major health systems like The University of Kansas Health System. Large agricultural and financial services firms in Overland Park have also filed Labor Condition Applications for data management positions in recent years.
Which visa types are most common for data management analyst roles in Kansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for data management analysts in Kansas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, computer science, or statistics. Some employers also sponsor L-1B transfers for analysts moving from international offices. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may be eligible for the TN visa under the USMCA.
Which cities in Kansas have the most data management analyst sponsorship jobs?
Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro area account for the largest concentration of data management analyst sponsorship jobs in Kansas, driven by technology, healthcare IT, and financial services employers. Wichita is the second-largest hub, supported by aerospace and manufacturing firms with significant data infrastructure needs. Lawrence, home to the University of Kansas, also generates occasional openings through research and healthcare-affiliated organizations.
How to find data management analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates looking for visa sponsorship roles, including data management analyst positions in Kansas. You can filter by state and job title to surface employers who have demonstrated sponsorship activity. Because Kansas sponsorship openings are less frequent than in coastal tech hubs, setting up alerts on Migrate Mate for this specific role and state helps ensure you see new postings quickly.
What should data management analysts know about the Kansas job market before applying for sponsored roles?
Kansas employers sponsoring data management analysts are concentrated in industries with deep data governance needs: aerospace manufacturing, agricultural technology, and regional healthcare networks. The University of Kansas and Kansas State University produce a steady pipeline of local candidates, so international applicants typically strengthen their cases by highlighting specialized tools or domain experience that is less common locally, such as cloud data platforms or industry-specific compliance frameworks. Prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B apply statewide regardless of employer size.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data management analyst jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
