State government contractors and healthcare networks represent additional sponsoring employer categories in Ohio.
Which visa types are most common for data management analyst roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data management analysts in Ohio, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may pursue the TN visa under the USMCA. Those with extraordinary distinction in data management may qualify for the O-1A.
Which Ohio cities have the most data management analyst sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio in data management analyst sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of insurance carriers, financial institutions, and technology firms. Cleveland follows, anchored by healthcare systems including Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, supported by consumer goods companies and regional banks. Dayton and Toledo have smaller but active markets tied to manufacturing and logistics.
How to find data management analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search data management analyst openings in Ohio without sorting through positions that do not support international candidates. You can narrow results by city, employer, and visa type. This is particularly useful in Ohio, where sponsoring employers are distributed across Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati rather than concentrated in one metro area.
Are there state-specific factors that affect data management analyst sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio's strong presence of Big Ten universities, including Ohio State and Case Western Reserve, creates active pipelines of international graduates into data management roles, meaning employers in Columbus and Cleveland are generally familiar with OPT and H-1B sponsorship processes. Ohio's healthcare and insurance sectors are among the heaviest filers of H-1B petitions in the state, reflecting consistent demand for data governance and analytics expertise.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data management analyst jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
