Search Data Management Analyst Jobs in OregonData Management Analyst Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for data management analysts in Oregon?
Intel is one of Oregon's most active H-1B sponsors for data roles, particularly at its Hillsboro semiconductor campus. Nike, Oregon Health and Science University, Providence Health, and Daimler Trucks North America also appear regularly in DOL disclosure data for data management and analytics positions. Smaller Portland-based tech firms and financial services companies sponsor less frequently but do file when the right candidate is identified.
Which visa types are most common for data management analyst roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data management analysts in Oregon, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals when the role aligns with qualifying USMCA occupational categories. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT also frequently transition into employer-sponsored H-1B status.
Which cities in Oregon have the most data management analyst sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the majority of Oregon's data management analyst sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of technology companies, healthcare systems, and financial services firms. Hillsboro, just west of Portland, is significant due to Intel's large presence. Beaverton hosts Nike's global headquarters and related data operations. Salem sees some sponsorship demand from state government and healthcare organizations, while Bend has a smaller but growing tech employer base.
How to find data management analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa-sponsored roles in Oregon. You can filter by job title and state to surface data management analyst positions where employers have a documented history of H-1B or other sponsorship. This is more targeted than a general job search because Migrate Mate focuses on employers who actively sponsor, which matters when you're navigating H-1B or OPT timing constraints.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for data management analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon's prevailing wage determinations for data management analyst roles are benchmarked to the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro metropolitan area, which sets the floor employers must meet under DOL Labor Condition Application requirements. Oregon also has a strong university pipeline through Oregon State University and Portland State University, meaning employers are accustomed to sponsoring candidates coming out of STEM programs. Healthcare data roles tied to OHSU or Providence may also involve additional compliance considerations around data governance that can influence how the position is classified for visa purposes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data management analyst jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
