Which companies sponsor visas for data management analysts in Massachusetts?
Financial services firms like Fidelity Investments, State Street, and Liberty Mutual have consistent track records of sponsoring data management roles. In life sciences, Biogen, Moderna, and Takeda regularly file for analysts managing clinical and research data. Technology companies including HubSpot and Wayfair also sponsor these roles. Sponsorship is most common at mid-to-large enterprises with established immigration programs, not early-stage startups.
Which visa types are most common for data management analyst roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data management analysts in Massachusetts, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, computer science, or statistics. Candidates already authorized under OPT or STEM OPT are frequently hired first, with employers filing H-1B petitions in the subsequent lottery cycle. The O-1 is an option for candidates with documented exceptional achievements.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most data management analyst sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the large majority of data management analyst sponsorship activity in Massachusetts. Boston's financial district and Longwood Medical Area drive demand in financial services and healthcare data respectively, while Cambridge's Kendall Square concentration of biotech and pharmaceutical firms creates consistent need for clinical and research data analysts. Waltham and Marlborough also see sponsorship activity from technology and life sciences companies based along Route 128.
How to find data management analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search data management analyst roles in Massachusetts without sorting through employers who do not sponsor. The platform surfaces positions across financial services, biotech, and technology sectors in Boston, Cambridge, and surrounding areas. Filtering by sponsorship type also helps identify employers actively filing H-1B petitions for this role category in the state.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific factors that affect data management analyst sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the Boston-Cambridge metropolitan area when filing an H-1B Labor Condition Application, and that metro's wage levels tend to be higher than national averages for data roles. The state's concentration of research universities, including MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern, creates a strong OPT-to-H-1B pipeline that many Massachusetts employers are already experienced navigating. Life sciences and financial services firms here generally have mature in-house immigration processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data management analyst jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
