JOB OVERVIEW
This role sits within T-Mobile's Incentive Strategy team and drives the data modeling, financial analysis, and business intelligence work that shapes how we design, evaluate, and evolve our incentive programs. You'll turn large, complex datasets into clear strategic recommendations — modeling incentive plan structures, forecasting financial impact, measuring program effectiveness, and delivering executive-level insights that influence decisions across the organization.
This is a data and strategy role where the domain happens to be incentives. If you've built financial models, written SQL against enterprise data warehouses, and translated complex data into narratives that drive business action — this role is for you. Compensation or incentive background is a plus, not a prerequisite.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain analytical models to evaluate incentive plan design scenarios, quota structures, payout curves, and program ROI
- Develop financial forecasts and accrual models to project incentive program costs and quantify business impact
- Mine and analyze large, complex datasets using SQL to surface performance trends, behavioral patterns, and strategic insights
- Design and maintain dashboards, self-service reporting tools, and data visualizations (Tableau, Power BI) that give stakeholders real-time visibility into program performance
- Partner with Finance, HR, Sales, and Operations to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Conduct ad hoc quantitative research and scenario modeling to support executive decision-making
- Contribute to the design and governance of data infrastructure, reporting standards, and analytical documentation for the team
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required) Acceptable areas of study include data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, data analysis, or equivalent quantitative experience (Required)
- 4–7 years of experience solving complex analytical problems using quantitative and statistical approaches (Required)
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience with SQL analysis of large, complex datasets in enterprise environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, MSSQL, Teradata, or similar) (Required)
- 4–7 years of experience building and presenting data visualizations and performance reporting using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools (Required)
- 4–7 years of experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or scenario analysis (Required)
- Experience with Python, R, or similar statistical/data science language (Preferred)
- Background in incentive compensation, sales operations, HR analytics, or workforce analytics (Preferred — not required)
- Telecommunications industry experience (Preferred)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Financial Modeling & Quantitative Analysis — Demonstrated ability to build models from scratch, stress-test assumptions, and translate findings into clear business recommendations for non-technical audiences (Required)
- SQL Expertise — Deep, hands-on proficiency querying and transforming large datasets across enterprise data platforms (Required)
- Data Visualization — Experience designing dashboards and reports that drive decisions, not just display data (Required)
- Communication & Influence — Ability to translate complex analysis into clear executive narratives; comfortable presenting and defending analytical methodology to senior leadership (Required)
- Problem Structuring — Ability to take an ambiguous business question and break it into a structured, actionable analytical approach (Required)
- Financial & Business Acumen — Comfortable working with financial data, understanding cost/benefit tradeoffs, and framing analysis in terms of organizational impact (Required)

Which telecom companies sponsor E-3 visas in Kansas?
Kansas has historically been a significant telecom employer, with Overland Park serving as a hub for major carriers and their contractors. Companies such as T-Mobile (which absorbed Sprint's operations), Ericsson, Nokia, and regional network service providers have filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles in the state. Sponsorship patterns vary by year and hiring need, so checking current LCA filing records through OFLC is the most reliable way to verify active sponsors.
Which cities in Kansas have the most telecom E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Overland Park, in the Kansas City metro, concentrates the largest share of Kansas telecom employment, driven by the legacy of Sprint's headquarters and the network of vendors and contractors that grew around it. Wichita supports telecom roles tied to its broader tech and manufacturing base. Kansas City, Kansas, benefits from cross-metro spillover with Missouri-side employers, making the entire metro area the most productive region for telecom E-3 visa opportunities in the state.
How do I find telecom E-3 sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas's telecom sector, surfacing employers with verified LCA filing history so you can target companies that have demonstrably sponsored the visa type before. Because E-3 eligibility depends on both the role qualifying as a specialty occupation and the employer being willing to file an LCA, focusing your search on confirmed past sponsors in Kansas telecom significantly narrows the field to realistic opportunities.
What types of telecom roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related technical field are the standard for E-3 specialty occupation status. In telecom, this commonly includes network engineers, RF engineers, systems architects, software developers working on telecom platforms, telecommunications analysts, and project managers with engineering credentials. Roles classified under O*NET as requiring theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge are generally well-positioned for E-3 qualification, though each application is assessed individually by the consular officer.
Are there any Kansas-specific considerations for telecom E-3 sponsorship?
Kansas follows federal E-3 rules with no state-specific visa requirements, but the local telecom market has some practical dynamics worth understanding. The Overland Park and Kansas City metro area is where the majority of sponsoring employers are concentrated, so candidates targeting rural or smaller-city roles may find fewer E-3-ready employers. Kansas employers must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before the visa can be issued, confirming the offered role meets prevailing wage levels as determined through OFLC Wage Search data for the relevant Kansas metropolitan area.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 telecom jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
