Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for executive assistant roles?
Wichita-based aerospace and manufacturing companies, including Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation, have sponsored professional administrative staff. In the Kansas City metro, financial services and technology firms in Overland Park, such as Garmin and Sprint (now part of T-Mobile), have filed sponsorships for skilled support roles. Agricultural conglomerates headquartered in Wichita, like Koch Industries, also employ executive assistants at the senior corporate level.
Which visa types are most common for executive assistant jobs in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for executive assistant roles in Kansas, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration. The L-1B visa is another pathway for intracompany transferees moving into a specialized executive support role within a multinational employer that has Kansas operations. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying administrative roles.
Which cities in Kansas have the most executive assistant visa sponsorship opportunities?
Wichita is the primary hub, driven by its aerospace and energy industries where senior corporate offices regularly require experienced executive support staff. Overland Park, in the Kansas City metro, is a close second given its density of Fortune 500 regional offices and technology companies. Topeka, as the state capital, offers opportunities within government-adjacent organizations and healthcare systems, though sponsorship activity there is more limited.
How to find executive assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find executive assistant roles in Kansas where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. You can filter specifically by state and job category to surface relevant postings without sorting through companies that do not sponsor. Given Kansas's concentration of aerospace and corporate headquarters in Wichita and Overland Park, focusing your search on those metro areas through Migrate Mate will return the most relevant results.
Are there any Kansas-specific factors that affect executive assistant visa sponsorship?
Kansas employers sponsoring H-1B executive assistants must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the Wichita or Kansas City metro area, which differ from national averages. The state's aerospace and aviation industry concentration means many sponsoring employers are large, established companies with dedicated HR and immigration infrastructure. University of Kansas and Kansas State University graduates occasionally enter executive support pipelines at regional corporate offices, increasing competition for sponsored openings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored executive assistant jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
