Which companies sponsor visas for executive assistants in Utah?
Technology and financial services employers along Utah's Wasatch Front corridor are the most active sponsors. Companies such as Adobe, Qualtrics, Goldman Sachs, and Intermountain Health have sponsored administrative and executive support roles in the past. Large corporations with dedicated HR and legal teams are generally better positioned to manage the sponsorship process than smaller businesses.
Which visa types are most common for executive assistant roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for executive assistants in Utah, though it requires demonstrating the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, which can be challenging for administrative positions. Candidates with an L-1 intracompany transfer background or those already holding work authorization such as OPT or an EAD are often more immediately competitive with Utah employers.
Which cities in Utah have the most executive assistant sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of executive assistant sponsorship opportunities in Utah, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, tech firms, and healthcare systems. Provo and Orem also generate meaningful demand, particularly from technology companies headquartered in the Silicon Slopes area. Ogden sees smaller but consistent hiring from manufacturing and logistics employers.
How to find executive assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find executive assistant roles in Utah where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsorship-friendly postings, saving time compared to sifting through general job listings. Focusing your search on Salt Lake City and the Silicon Slopes tech corridor will surface the highest concentration of relevant Utah opportunities.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for executive assistant sponsorship candidates?
Utah's technology sector, often called Silicon Slopes, has expanded the administrative hiring market but also raised the bar for what employers expect from executive assistants. Candidates with experience supporting C-suite leaders at software or fintech companies are particularly competitive. Utah universities such as the University of Utah also produce local talent, so international candidates benefit from highlighting specialized skills or multilingual abilities that differentiate their applications.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored executive assistant jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
