This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
A transportation analyst optimizes transportation systems by analyzing data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery times. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing logistics data, developing solutions for transportation projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with various teams
- Performing responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one transportation job family and applying independent, specialized, technical expertise to support business processes requiring transportation
- Developing, integrating, implementing, and executing transportation systems
- Working cross-functionally with internal and external customers and suppliers and all employee levels to carry out responsibilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, or business-related field
- Experience leading projects while managing schedules, budgets, and operational objectives
- Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
