Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for people operations managers?
Kansas employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship history in HR and people operations roles include Garmin in Olathe, Cerner (now Oracle Health) in the Kansas City metro, Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, and BNSF Railway. Larger corporate headquarters and multinationals operating in the Overland Park and Lenexa corridors are generally the most likely to have established sponsorship processes for people operations professionals.
Which visa types are most common for people operations manager roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for people operations managers in Kansas, given that the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, business administration, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding L-1 visa status through an intracompany transfer, or those with an O-1 visa based on distinguished HR contributions, may also find pathways with Kansas employers.
Which cities in Kansas have the most people operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro area account for the largest share of people operations manager openings in Kansas, driven by corporate headquarters in finance, technology, and healthcare. Wichita is the second major hub, supported by aerospace manufacturing employers. Lawrence and Manhattan see occasional openings tied to university administration and research institutions, though at lower volume than the metro areas.
How to find people operations manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles with visa sponsorship, so you can search people operations manager positions in Kansas without sifting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform focuses on international candidates, which means listings are curated for sponsorship eligibility. Sorting by Kansas locations on Migrate Mate will surface openings in Overland Park, Wichita, and the surrounding metro areas most relevant to this role.
Are there any state-specific considerations for people operations manager visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal obligations, but employers must still file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying they'll pay the prevailing wage for the people operations manager role in the specific Kansas metropolitan area. Wichita and the Kansas City metro are each assigned separate prevailing wage determinations, so the certified wage can differ meaningfully depending on where the position is based.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored people operations manager jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
