GENERAL SUMMARY
The Group Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of Cooper Green Mercy Health’s multi-specialty ambulatory practice, overseeing clinical, administrative, financial performance, and workforce functions to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective care delivery aligned with organizational goals. Through data-driven decision making, cross-functional leadership, and disciplined resource stewardship, the Group Practice Manager drives service line growth, expanded access to care, and sustainable performance while optimizing the experience for patients, providers, and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides direct leadership and performance accountability for a multidisciplinary team of both direct and indirect reports.

Accountable for leading, directing, coordinating, and overseeing clinical and administrative operations for specialty services; utilizes data and performance metrics to drive quality, efficiency, and alignment with organizational priorities; authors clinical operational policies, procedures, and standards.

Collaborate with Senior Manager on departmental financial performance, managing operating budgets, monitoring variances, and contributing to staffing models and resource allocation to ensure cost effective service delivery.

Partner with Senior Manager of Group Practice on operational and administrative relationships with external provider partners.

Collaborate with Senior Manager on provider onboarding and offboarding strategies across primary care, specialty care, and GME programs, coordinating cross functional teams to ensure operational readiness and continuity.

Liaise with Nursing and Patient Access leadership on operational initiatives to optimize clinic flow, access management, scheduling templates, and provider productivity.

Serves as primary operational partner to specialty physicians and advanced practice providers, resolving administrative barriers and enabling a productive clinical environment.

Assesses clinical equipment needs and assists in procurement decisions to balance quality, operational effectiveness, and return on investment.

Oversee community outreach initiatives to expand access in underserved areas, strengthen organizational reputation, and build long term, value-based partnerships.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, information management, or related degree plus four (4) years of experience. Experience may not substitute for education requirement.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ambulatory healthcare delivery to include revenue cycle management, healthcare principles and techniques, clinical and financial systems, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards, as well as privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Working knowledge of non-profit ambulatory healthcare systems and organizations to include insurers, purchased care system, Medicare, Medicaid, public health, and regional and local support services.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records, analytical tools (Excel), and software (clinical and financial models).
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques using various systems.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
- Experience facilitating quality improvement projects and a working understanding of the principles of population health.
- Executive level communication skills to interface with senior management and external stakeholders as well as ability to interface professionally with staff at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree plus two (2) years of experience in healthcare administration, business, information management or related degree. Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, or other statistical support tools is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While this is an office based role, the work may require sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The work location for this role is onsite.
PAY RANGE
$77,646.40-$126,172.80 annually
