Which companies sponsor visas for program coordinators in Kansas?
Kansas employers that have historically sponsored work visas for program coordinators include the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, Ascension Via Christi Health, Children's Mercy Kansas City, and Spirit AeroSystems. Larger healthcare networks and research universities are the most active sponsors, as these organizations regularly hire coordinators for clinical, research, and grant-funded programs that require specialized qualifications.
Which visa types are most common for program coordinator roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program coordinator positions in Kansas when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as public health, education administration, or nonprofit management. Some positions at universities qualify for cap-exempt H-1B status, which avoids the annual lottery. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or professional categories.
Which cities in Kansas have the most program coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Wichita, Kansas City, and Topeka account for the majority of program coordinator sponsorship activity in Kansas. Wichita's large healthcare and aerospace sector drives demand, while Kansas City's position as a regional hub for nonprofits and health systems adds significant volume. Lawrence, home to the University of Kansas, is also a notable source of coordinator roles tied to research and academic programs.
How to find program coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters program coordinator roles in Kansas by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving significant time compared to manually screening general job listings. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces employers in Wichita, Kansas City, and Lawrence that have sponsored similar positions, giving you a focused starting point for your applications.
Are there any state-specific considerations for program coordinators seeking visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas has a relatively lower cost of living compared to coastal states, which affects prevailing wage determinations for H-1B petitions. Employers must pay the higher of the actual or prevailing wage based on DOL data for the specific metropolitan area, so wages in Wichita may differ from Kansas City rates. University and nonprofit employers in Kansas often have established immigration processes, making them more predictable sponsors than smaller organizations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program coordinator jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
