Which companies in Colorado sponsor visas for program coordinators?
Healthcare systems such as UCHealth, Children's Hospital Colorado, and SCL Health have histories of sponsoring work visas for program coordinators. The University of Colorado system, Colorado State University, and federal contractors like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon in the Denver metro also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for coordinator-level roles.
Which visa types are most common for program coordinator roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for program coordinator positions, though it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning the position must typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Large nonprofit and university employers may also file as cap-exempt H-1B sponsors, which bypasses the annual lottery.
How to find program coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse program coordinator roles in Colorado without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by location and role type to surface openings from Colorado's healthcare networks, universities, and federal contractors that actively support H-1B and other work visa petitions.
Which cities in Colorado have the most program coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the largest share of program coordinator sponsorship activity in Colorado, driven by its concentration of hospitals, nonprofits, and government contractors. Boulder adds opportunities through the University of Colorado and research institutions. Colorado Springs is a secondary hub, particularly for coordinators supporting defense and federal agency programs in the region.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for program coordinator visa sponsorship?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose pay ranges in job postings, which gives visa applicants useful data when evaluating whether an offered salary meets the prevailing wage requirement the Department of Labor sets for H-1B petitions. University and hospital employers in Colorado are often cap-exempt H-1B filers, which can simplify and accelerate the sponsorship process compared to cap-subject employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program coordinator jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
